Ok, so we only have two blocks left and coming clean these were a bit of an after thought. I have never been great at my times tables and it was only when I laid it out, that I realised 6x9 blocks would just look a bit odd. Rather than take any of my precious blocks away, I decided to add two. This would create a quilt 7x8 blocks wide/long.
As this is the penultimate block, lets take one last minute to think about Emmeline Pankhurst, the leader of the suffragettes. She has many quotes attributed to her, for example "Deeds not words", "I would rather be a rebel than a slave" and "I am what you call a hooligan."
But the quote that sums up the movement best to me is "We are here, not because we are law-breakers; we are here in our efforts to become law-makers."
This block now seems a bit 'busy' to me, I think because the pattern is busier than others and I have used lots of patterned fabrics.
First, make the long triangle blocks, this is easy to do as you only have to cut 2 rectangles of each colour in half and then you have enough triangles.
Next, sew the smaller triangles together to make squares. Sew all of these squares together to make the four big corner squares.
Then sew it together - one big corner square, a long rectangle (made of two triangles) and the other corner square. Then you have a top strip. Do the same for the bottom and then sew the middle two rectangles next to the centre small square. Sew it all together and you are done!
