Scrappy Susannah named after Susan B. Anthony who played a pivotal role in the American Suffrage movement. What a cool woman, not only was she a suffragette but she fought against slavery, initiated the American Equal Rights Association, published a women's rights newspaper called The Revolution, was arrested and presented congress with an amendment which would give women the right to vote (this eventually became the 19th amendment). What a cool woman!

"There never will be complete equality until women themselves help to make laws and elect lawmakers." - Susan B. Anthony.

To get the effect of the rectangle blocks, instead of creating two green blocks on each side, I made one rectangle and modified my seam allowances.

The centre square is made up of four blocks made by two triangles. Then it is about sewing it together. I sewed it in 3 strips, the centre strip is made of the centre square and the top and bottom rectangles. Then just add on the side strips.

Independence is happiness. - Susan B. Anthony.
