In London's Parliament Square there is a statue of Millicent Fawcett, the suffragist. I have been lucky enough to visit Parliament for my work a couple of times, something unthinkable 100 years ago! I took this picture on one of my trips to Parliament, I love the fact that these young girls were so excited to see Millicent's statue and that their mum took a photo of them with it. Young feminists of the future...
Let's sew...
I again fussy cut the fabric on this block, as each of the green triangles are so big it made sense to use one of my bigger Morris prints to fussy it it with.
Sew the block in quarters. Sew together the cream and purple triangles in one quarter to make one big triangle. Then sew this triangle to the fussy cut green triangle.
Sew the rest of these triangles together to make four squares. Sew the four squares together in 2 strips.
