As I explained in my first block Emily Wilding Davidson died at the Epsom races in 1913 after attempting to put a suffragette sash on the king's horse. She died a few days later as a result of her injuries.

To make this block is very simple. Each triangle is cut from a 6.5x6.5cm square and each square is cut from a 6cm square and ends up being a 5cm square. I 'fussy cut' the squares again to get the birds in the square. This is Moda William Morris fabric and I love it, it is beautiful.
