Block seventeen: Woven ribbons

Did you know that fashionable London shops such as Selfridges and Liberty sold ribbons in the three colours of the suffragettes to be used by the suffragettes on their hats,belts and clothes. I did not know this and would love (as I am a fan of Liberty's fabric) to have a Liberty suffragette ribbon!


This is probably one of the simplest blocks to make, after all it is only squares sewn together! The key is to get a couple of different colours to show how the ribbons are woven together.


I made two of these blocks as I didn't like the mix of colours below once I had made it.
