Block thirty four: Bee in my bonnet

You may think I have a bee in my bonnet about the Suffragettes and you are correct. I am a feminist but I am also a Speech and Language Therapist so wanted to explain where the phrase bee in my bonnet comes from. Apparently it comes from the Scottish idiom "a head full of bees" and was first used in the mid 1500's. Isn't language interesting?! If you want a book about language and feminism then "Word Slut by Amanda Montell" is the book for you!

Anyway, this is a simple block with a fussy cut centre square. The only tricky thing about this square is that each block is cut at 7.83cm to ensure you get a 20cm square.
